Sponsor: Legion Magazine and Canada’s Ultimate Story, a division of Canvet Publications Ltd.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Commencing May 1 to June 30, 2020, entrants with purchase of a 5-year+ subscription to Legion Magazine (new or renewal) or a 1-year+ subscription to Canada’s Ultimate Story, (new or renewal) with minimum purchase of $44.95 before taxes, are instantly entered to win an iPad. One entry per subscription.
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER: To obtain a free entry and/or a copy of the official rules, please send a request in writing to: Legion Magazine, 86 Aird Place, Kanata, ON K2L 0A1. All requests for free entry must be received by July 10, 2020. Limit of one free entry request per envelope with sufficient postage. All free entry requests must include a postage-paid, self-addressed return envelope. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES.
Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) or agents of the Sponsor, its affiliates and their respective advertising and promotion agencies. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Entries are limited to individuals only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible to enter the Contest.
THE PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:
Prize: One (1) Apple iPad 32GB, approximate retail value (“ARV”): $429.00 CAD
Prize must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at the Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or a prize component with one of equal or greater quality or value.
All incidental costs and expenses not specifically included in the prize descriptions shall be the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
One Winner will be selected at the end of this contest in a random draw. The selection of the Prize Winner will take place at 86 Aird Place, Kanata, ON K2L 0A1, on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., Eastern time. Winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone by the Contest Sponsor and the Winner is required to correctly answer, without any assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question. Odds of a winner being selected depends on the number of entries received. The Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value for the Winner.
No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected winner. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. Selected winner will be required to sign and return a standard Declaration, Liability and Publicity Release, releasing the Sponsor, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, from any and all liability arising directly or indirectly from this contest, participation in contest related activities, the awarding of a prize, and the use or misuse of any prize.
By entering the contest, selected winners agree to comply with these official contest rules and agree to the publication, reproduction, and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the contest, and/or personal photograph or other likeness without further compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast, or digital.
The Sponsor and its advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or delayed entries. Without limitation, the Sponsor and its advertising and promotion agencies will not be liable for the failure of any entry to be received.
The Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw or amend this contest in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend this contest in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind without prior notice or obligation.
